Die aktuelle Situation in Tibet stimmt mich sehr traurig. Doch frage ich mich, was nun schlimmer ist, das Verhalten Chinas oder das der UNO. Wie kann eine Organisation, die sich die Einhaltung der Menschenrechte als eines ihrer Ziele definiert hat, einfach die Augen verschliessen und sich durch die wirtschaftliche Macht Chinas so einschüchtern lassen.

Mit dem folgenden Text versuche ich, die Nachricht Lhasang Tsering  auch im Westen zu verbreiten. Bitte nehmt euch die Zeit, sie zu lesen.        

                     
Beijing 2008 - An Appeal to the Youth of the Free World

Let it be said - said at the very beginning,
This is not an appeal - an Appeal Not to Go to Beijing;
Indeed - I understand and I accept - you Must go to Beijing;
because I know and I accept - you will not -
Yes: you Cannot be Young again!

I know it was for the sake - for the sake of Big Business;
I know it was in the interest - the interest of power politics;
That - knowing full well about Berlin 1936,
Knowing that Beijing is also Guilty of Genocide -
Yet; and yet awarded Beijing with Olympics 2008!

Knowing that the Need to go to Beijing was Not of your Making;
I know there will be no Joy when you Go to Beijing;
I know and I accept - it is for the Glory -
For the Glory of Sports - you Need to Go to Beijing;
I know and I accept - it is for the Honor -
For the Honor of your Country - you Must go to Beijing!

However; between Berlin 1936 and Beijing 2008 -
There is a Difference - an Essential Difference;
In the case of Berlin 1936 - the Holocaust;
The Tragic Holocaust and the Great War -
Came after - only after the Olympics.

In the case of Beijing 2008 - the Genocide -
China’s ongoing Genocide in Tibet and other Occupied Countries;
And China’s crowing threat to World Peace
Has been going on for Decades and Continues -
Yes; Continues to this Very Day!

So here the Olympics is not just a mere Tool
Here the Olympics - the Symbol of Youth and Friendship -
Is more like an award - an Award for Genocide!
And yet we appeal - Appeal to the Youth of the Free World;
Indeed to Go to Beijing!

But as you compete - Compete for Bronze and Silver;
As you seek - Seek Gold and Glory
please please remember - that our Places of Worship -
More than Six Thousand ancient Temples -
Were Looted; Desecrated and Destroyed - by Beijing!
Please please remember-
Our Devastated Land; our Broken Homes and our Shattered Lives;
Please; please remember -
More than One Million Tibetans were Murdered - by Beijing;

Please; please remember -
The Dark and Endless Night the Living must Endure;
Many many of whom -
Languish in Dark and Cold Prison Cells!

Please, please remember -
The people of Manchuria; of Southern Mongolia and East Turkistan -
All under China’s colonial rule -
Have suffered and died just like the Tibetans;

Please; please remember -
The ordinary People of China have also suffered -
Suffered and Died in their Many; Many Millions!

Please; please remember -
Through the Export of Nuclear Weapons know-how and related activities;
China is today the Greatest Threat to World Peace!

Please; please remember - even as you read this -
China is causing Permanent Damage to the fragile Environment of Tibet -
The Source of Asia´s Great Rivers;

Please, please remember -
China is destroying - Destroying the Roof of the World;
And this may adversely affect the Life-giving Monsoon Rains!

Please; please remember -
This same Murderous Regime has been ruling since 1949,
And so please; please remember -
No one has been able to dig deeper into the Secrets -
The Dark and Hidden Secrets of Beijing´s Crimes against Humanity!

But we do know - know for sure that -
Beijing 2008 is Soaked in Blood -
The Blood of Millions upon Millions of Innocent Lives!

And so please; please remember - Winning in Beijing - Beijing 2008 -
Cannot bring Honor - no Honor to your Country;
Because Beijing 2008 is not - I repeat - is not being held for the Glory of Sports!

Beijing 2008 is nothing but a Whitewash -
A whitewash for Genocide in Four Occupied Countries -
And an unknown number of Ethnic Minorities!

Beijing 2008 is making a Mockery of the Olympics!
Beijing 2008 is reducing the Olympics to a mere Circus!
Beijing 2008 is a Cover-up for the Crime of Multiple-Genocide!

Therefore, Having won your Bronze and Silver,
Having won the much coveted Gold;
Having entered the Record Books;
You can now stand up for Justice and Freedom;
Yes, you can say ”No” to Beijing’s Blood-stained Medal !
